Like many large cities, Indianapolis offers the top of the line in restaurants and eateries. Well famous restaurants such as St. Elmo's, Sullivan's, McCormick and Schmidt and Ruth Chris Steakhouses scatter the city. If your taste is for seafood, Kona Jack's and The Oceanaire are also just a close jaunt. The nightlife is also hot in the city. Indianapolis is not complete, however, without at stop in The Slippery Noodle. Established in 1850, The Slippery Noodle is Indiana's oldest saloon/jazz bar and is a favorite among both natives and guests of Indianapolis. While you're there, make sure to order a plate of Voodoo Chicken (it's the best in town) and don't be surprised if the live music you enjoy becomes an impromptu celebrity jam session. Music masters such as Dave Matthews and Neil Diamond have been known to stop by.
